San Diego’s Cumbia Machin is coming to El Paso this Wednesday night! Cumbia Machin is a Latin band with a funk Norteño style. Their modern approach to traditional Latin music is what sets this band apart. Using both electronic and customary Latin instruments, Cumbia Machin manipulates the conventional Cumbia rhythm to generate a more up-tempo, contemporary sound. This has to be one of the best shows I’ve ever attended. Not only was there a cholo fight, the crowd was like a bunch of rats in box. Dope, high enery, pura frontera! All the energy and fire that this emerging scene has to offer was all concentrated at Trick Falls that night. Thank you so much ATDI and Jim Ward and associates for putting on a historical event.
